Michael Staudt, MD, MSc

Michael D. Staudt, MD MSc is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine. He graduated from Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, where he also received his Master’s degree in Neurobiology and his Medical Degree. He then continued his neurosurgical residency at London Health Sciences Centre, during which time he completed an enfolded fellowship in Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery at UH Cleveland Medical Center, followed by a post-graduate fellowship at Albany Medical Center.

He is the Director of Epilepsy Surgery, and the Co-Director of Pain Surgery and Neuromodulation. He holds the George R. and Constance P. Lincoln Endowed Chair in Brain Health. His clinical practice primarily includes the surgical treatment of pain, epilepsy, brain tumors, and movement disorders. He has particular expertise in adult and pediatric neuromodulation.

Dr. Staudt serves on the Board of Directors for the North American Neuromodulation Society as Secretary, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons as a Member-at-Large, and the AANS/CNS Joint Section on Pain as a Member-at-Large. He also serves on the AANS/CNS Joint Guidelines Review Committee, and is the Pain Section Guideline Chair.
