Eellan Sivanesan, MD, FASA, is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Director of Neuromodulation in the Division of Pain Medicine. He is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. His clinical and research interests focus on neuromodulation and interventional pain medicine, including spinal cord stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation. His laboratory investigates the biological mechanisms of neuromodulation and chronic pain, with an emphasis on neuroimmune interactions, peripheral biomarkers, and translational approaches to understanding and predicting treatment response.
