About

Pelvic pain remains a challenging condition requiring a multimodal approach for effective management. This panel will explore the latest advancements in interventional therapies, including Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) stimulation, Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Peripheral Nerve Stimulation (PNS), Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), and pudendal nerve blocks. Expert panelists will discuss patient selection, procedural techniques, and outcome optimization for these modalities in the treatment of chronic pelvic pain syndromes, including pudendal neuralgia, post-surgical pain, interstitial cystitis, and pelvic floor dysfunction. The session will feature clinical insights to illustrate best practices in tailoring interventions to individual patient needs.

    Jennifer M. Hah, MD

    Associate Professor

    Stanford Medicine · Stanford, California

Dr. Hah is triple boarded in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and addiction medicine. As a Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist she is dedicated to educating trainees and clinicians in ultrasound-guided interventions, neuromodulation, and evidence-based treatments at the cutting edge. As a clinical epidemiologist and physician-scientist, she leads research at the intersection between mood, pain and medication use. Specifically characterizing risk factors for persistent pain and opioid use after surgery and developing interventions to encourage postoperative opioid cessation. Her research also includes examining mechanisms of peripheral nerve stimulation and identifying biomarkers of pain and neuromodulation treatment response. Dr. Hah is the Co-director of the Stanford Pelvic Pain program with a clinical focus on treating both men and women suffering from a wide range of conditions causing chronic pelvic pain.
