About

Personalized neuromodulation holds promise for improving epilepsy treatment, yet several fundamental questions remain unresolved: (1) how to detect and define brain states that trigger intervention, (2) what stimulation parameters should be used, and (3) where stimulation should be delivered. These challenges have sparked significant interest across the field, with multiple groups pursuing diverse AI driven, network driven, and biomarker driven approaches to optimize neuromodulation. This session seeks to "close the loop" on closed-loop neuromodulation in epilepsy by bringing together leaders in the field to discuss emerging strategies for state detection, stimulation optimization, and network targeting.
