About
This session will combine a diverse group of speakers to cover next generation topics in both the surgical and programming aspects of neuromodulation in epilepsy. First, we will hear about advanced neuromodulation options using both open and closed-loop stimulation in patients who have failed resective therapy. We will also discuss how the increased use of thalamic SEEG is helping to guide target and stimulation strategy in thalamic neuromodulation. Novel programming strategies in closed-loop responsive neurostimulation will be explored, as well as the importance of dosing and programming approach is achieving successful outcomes in vagus nerve stimulation. Spirited discussion will be centered around challenging cases and emerging concepts in this rapidly changing field.
